2017-October-19 England, Godalming: Phase 2 Numbers

We have had a lovely week in London catching up with a few friends and celebrating Anthony's birthday.
We are heading to Heathrow Airport today to stay in a hotel nearby in order to catch our (3) flights back to Sydney on Friday.
We are amusing ourselves by counting the numbers for Walbok Walkabout Phase 2.   Here they are:

In the 4 months we travelled we:

* Visited
11 countries (England, Scotland, France, Monaco, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Vatican City, Austria, Ireland, Germany). That means this trip we visited the two smallest countries in the world!

*  Slept in
24 different beds

*  Had 2 great Couch Surfing hosts (in South of France)

*  Did
1 house sitting assignment (for friends)

*  Spent
7 weeks doing 'Workaway' (skills exchange for food and accommodation)

Managed to catch up with 20 friends and family (couples and families count as one).  Maybe a bit cheeky including Phil & Liz whom we bumped into at Rome Rail Station for 15 minutes 😊

*  Took 14 flights

*  Caught
1 bus (excluding day trips)

*  Took
8 trains (excluding day trips)

*  Hired a car for 14 days

*  Paid for
13 nights’ accommodation (including Ireland which we treated as a holiday for Steve’s 50th)

*  Travelled approximately 15,000 kilometres (9,300 miles).  Very different to Phase 1 where we covered 95,500 kilometres

*  And again, had
uncountable fun conversations and laughs thanks to everyone we visited and met on this journey.

The next part of our adventure continues when we land in Sydney and embark on several house sits there.
