2015-July-25 USA, Colorado, Denver: Leaving California

After 5 weeks in California we have finally crossed the border to another state: We are in Denver, Colorado.

Our time in San Ramon provided us with a great combination of site-seeing, downtime and planning time for the next few months.

It also afforded us the opportunity to meet some great people.  We went for walks around the neighbourhood often and one evening we passed three gents sitting out front of a house sipping wine.
"Great idea" says Anthony.
"We're here most evenings if you care to join us" responds one of them.

Well, a couple of days later we pack a bottle of wine, two plastic glasses and some peanuts and off we go. As we arrive at the house, sure as anything... there they are.
"Is this a private party or can anyone join" questions Anthony.
That was a few weeks ago and we were completely adopted by this group of neighbours.  Invited to two BBQs (one for the fourth of July), wine tasting at a local wine maker where they are members and Jean was treated to a cinema outing by one of their wives to see "Magic Mike".  What a great group of people who made our stay in San Ramon so much more fun!

Mexican Dinner with David, Alex, Lara and Helen

Helen, David, Alex and Lara arrived back from Greece last Friday so we got to catch up with them properly before leaving.  Dinner with their neighbours, being taken out for a Mexican meal and a drive up Mount Diablo were highlights of the last few days of our stay

Thanks for all the memories we have made in California and Hello Colorado!
